Course Reflective Narrative
In the SPAN 305 class, we have explored different jobs in which we can develop professionally in the future and in which we can practice our Spanish. This course has contributed to MLO 1. The activities in class have been very dynamic and have helped me a lot to practice writing, reading, and vocabulary in Spanish. The topics we studied were interesting such as social services, legal systems, business, technology, and others. The activities that I liked the most were the reflections on the topics we studied each week, in which I could practice my writing, and at the same time I could analyze each topic more critically. Learning a more professional vocabulary and putting it into practice, in my conversations during each class made me feel more confident when participating in class. Also, in some classes meetings, I learned about the policies and regulations that other countries have, such as Spain, Argentina, Chile, and Mexico, and that their education, economic and political systems are very different from those of the United States. These discussions helped me to acquire more intellectual knowledge enriching my vocabulary in Spanish. In the last weeks of class, we learned how to make a curriculum vitae, recommendation letter, and reference letter since this will help us in the future when applying for a job. The instructor was always willing to clarify our doubts and help us finish our class successfully. I enjoyed and learned from this class, and my Spanish improved incredibly.
